Another Snowflake Tree

I made several Christmas cards on Saturday and showed them to my Mother Saturday evening, and this card was her favorite.  Unfortunately, the scan does not do it justice at all. I had to put a piece of red cardstock behind it to scan it, but the card is all ivory colored - Virtual Pearl cardstock from Paper Temptress. I stamped the Snowflake tree and the Merry Christmas in gold Colorbox ink and embossed with Egyptian Gold embossing powder.  Then I added ivory colored pearls to the tree.

Simple Christmas Card

Several months ago I purchased a stamp from Impress Rubber Stamps called Snowflake Tree.  I like clean and simple, and felt this stamp would work great for that.  The tree is stamped and embossed on elegant shimmery cardstock (which unfortunately does not show up on the scan), and the base cardstock is Sparkle Vermilion - both from Paper Temptress.

Christmas Card From Last Year

I started my blog in January of this year (2010), so I didn't get to share any Christmas cards I made last year.  Cards I made ranged from elegant to cute.  Below is a card using a Penny Black stamp that I purchased from PB Stamps (Dick sells nothing but Penny Black stamps) - http://www.pbstamps.com/ . He put this card in the card gallery on his website. The "Happy Holidays" stamp I think I purchased at Michael's. It was a fun card to make.

World Card Making Day

Today is World Card Making Day and so I created this card to share.  I purchased the stamps (it is a 3-piece set of stamps and I used 2 of them) from Hanko Designs, and they are made by Kodomo. I dug out my Radiant Pearls (which are no longer sold) from about 7 years ago and used them to paint in the images. I do not have very many Oriental embellishments at all, but dug around and found the gold embellishment. All the cardstock used (I love that Gold Sparkle) is from the Paper Temptress.

Swallows

I have stamped several different things today, but have only one put together.  Some time back I purchased some stamps that were on sale from Hanko Designs. The below card is from a 3 stamp set (foam stamps) made by Kodomo. On the back of the box it shows a card that was made with the 3 stamps.  My card below is not original as I wanted to show all 3 stamps that came together, and went by the card on the back of the box. I had not used foam stamps before, but they worked pretty good. I will probably use these stamps individually with other stamps I have - I think that would work !!

Orchid

This is the second of 2 cards, I created today. I stamped this image several weeks ago and just could not think of how to pull it all together for a card. So, I am not really pleased with the card, though I love the image. In case you cannot read the saying it is, "the orchid is flowing water made into light" which is above the orchid. Below the orchid it says "Greetings". This image is by Art Neko.

Black and Ivory

Another poppystamps.com card.  I love black and ivory, and black and white.  The images are Bamboo Fan and Wave Background.  The fan is stamped on shimmery white cardstock.

A Stamping Saturday

I created 3 cards today using my new Asian stamps from poppystamps.com.  The background papers are from Stone House Stamps.  On this card I used the Bamboo Kimono and the Bamboo Stalk stamps.  I used copics on the kimono.

On the card below I used the Outline Kimono and the Friendship character stamps. The white cardstock is a shimmery, sparkly white and the piece of gold that is layered behind the kimono is a shimmery gold.

And, on the last card for the day I used the Dancing Willow stamp and the Thank You character. I stamped these on a shimmery gold cardstock. I had a dragonfly embellishment from the D'Analen days, so added it to the card.

Year of the Tiger

It is the Year of the Tiger and this is a card I created today.  The tiger stamp is a Kodomo stamp I purchased from Hanko Designs.  The Tiger character stamp is from OnyxXpressions, and the Asian Branch is a Stampabilities stamp I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I also used Asian stickers on the card.

Valentine Mingle

The card I created for the Valentine Mingle I participated in finally made its way to the person I sent it to in the UK, so now I can put it here on my blog.  I really enjoyed making this card and it is my favorite out of the one's that I made.

Valentine's Day Cards

I have been making some Valentine's Day cards.  On one of the lists I am on we are doing a Valentine Mingle, so I will not put the card I made up until after that person receives it.  But, I made others and here is one of them.  The stamped image is made by Penny Black.

Scraps

On one of the lists I am on we are having a Scraps Challenge.  We have to have a stamped image and use scraps we have from creating cards, ATCs, etc.  I am going to do something else, but this is what I came up with today.  I had not used the stamp before and I really like it. I used cardstock that I got when I was stamping about 7 years ago, and the *scraps* of paper are Oriental.  The buttons, well, they are just buttons.

A Funny Card

Last month on KCUK we had a Fun Challenge and I posted a card below (way on down - the card with the kitty on it) that I submitted for that.  I was looking at a magazine I had here a couple of weeks ago and came across a card that really made me *laugh out loud*.  I ordered the stamps, they arrived and here is the card I created with them.

Black and White Mingle

I created this card for a black and white mingle on a stamping list I am on.  The scan does not do the cardstock justice at all; it is a shimmery white cardstock. The stamp is Hero Arts which I purchased at Hobby Lobby.

Fun Challenge

There is a *Fun Challenge* this month on KC.  It has been so much fun seeing the different cards made.  Here are the 2 that I submitted:

Finally did it...

I have created a blog!!  I now have a place to show some of the cards I make, to share them with family and friends.
